CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS
Would you like to get more involved? Are you looking for a way to connect with and help other members? Do you have valuable skills and perspectives that could benefit N4A? If your answer is yes to any of these questions, consider volunteering.
Opportunities are organized into two levels:
- Organization Activities – committees, task forces, networks and other groups (as applicable), minimum commitment one year
- Open Volunteering – participates on a project-by-project basis as available
Please review the criteria below for each level. If you are interested in serving, please submit an e-mail containing the following to info@nfoura.org:
- Name and contact information
- Level of Service, Organization Activities or Open Volunteering
- Description of Service, committee name (1st and 2nd choice) or type of project
- A brief statement of your experience or interest in this area (limited to 255 characters), and
- Please indicate if you will be attending the annual convention
Whether you are renewing as a volunteer or engaging as a new participant, we welcome you to a new level of involvement with the N4A, we look forward to working with you.
The N4A may have openings on the following committees/task forces:
- Ethnic Concerns
- Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual, Transgender Affairs
- Learning Concerns and Enhancement
- Life Skills
- Student-Athlete Recognition
- Membership
- Legislative Services
- Two-Year Colleges
- Research
- Strategic Planning/Restructuring
- Model Practices
- External Relations
- Social Media Task Force
As a member of a committee/task force, you will be asked to commit to a minimum of one year of service. In addition to conference calls and e-mail communications, you will be asked to actively engage in the work of the committee as it achieves the objective and goals as established in the Strategic Plan. Attendance at the annual convention is encouraged but not required to serve.
The Open Volunteering opportunities listed below allow you to engage throughout the year as your schedule permits on a project-by-project basis in various activities:
- Participating in virtual communities
- Developing education program content
- Writing newsletter articles
- Submitting models and samples for the Locker Room (N4A’s online knowledge center)
- Rating and reviewing of articles, books, etc.
